The Pacific & Atlantic Telegraph Co. was on the corner of Wall Street. By March 1872 or before, this property was acquired by the Drexel, Morgan & Co. to make way for the building that became known as Drexel Building, completed in 1873.
The Mechanics' Bank and the Leather Manufacturers' Bank are on the left on Wall Street.
