Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity about 1895
The old Episcopal Church of the Holy Trinity on the northeast corner of Madison Avenue (on the left) and East Forty-second St., New York. The church opened in 1874. In 1895, the congregation of the Church of the Holy Trinity merged with St. James' Church, located on Madison Ave. and 71st St. The temple, on the corner of 42nd Street, was later sold and demolished. See a sign "For Sale" at the bottom.
