The New York Herald Building - 19th Century
This was The New York Herald Building in the 19th century, between 1867 and 1895. It was completed in 1867, at the corner of Broadway and Ann Street, near the City Hall Park. The building of the American Museum occupied the site before. On the right in the Park Bank Building, completed in 1868.
In 1892, the Building was for sale. In 1895 a new Herald Building was completed in Herald Square, Manhattan. On the site of the old building (photo above), the 26-story St. Paul Building (demolished in the 1958) was constructed.
