Old Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and Fifth Avenue - 1917
The Old Waldorf-Astoria Hotel seen from the Fifth Avenue (side of the old Waldorf Hotel, completed in 1893), looking north, during patriotic event. Waldorf Hotel and Astoria Hotel were connected by a 300 meters long corridor, known as Peacock Alley. When they merged in 1897, the hotel had 1,300 bedrooms and was the largest hotel in the world.
