Times Building N.Y. - 19th Century

This old N.Y. Times building existed from 1858 to 1888, facing the Printing House Square, on the left. The periodical O Novo Mundo was published from 1870 to 1879. It was housed in the building. Wood's Household Magazine was published by S.S. Wood & Company, between 1869 to 1874 (in 1873, office opened on 41 Park Row). Other offices in the building included: William J. Carlton's Advertising Agency, Army & Navy Journal, Geo. P. Rowell & Co's American Advertising Agency, the Albion, The Examiner & Chronicle etc. More: Park Row in 19th Century
