Greenwich Hotel
The Greenwich Hotel is located at 377 Greenwich Street, corner of North Moore Street, in TriBeCa, Lower Manhattan. It is a 88-room luxury hotel owned by Robert De Niro and opened in 2008.
Built from the ground up atop a former parking lot, the 8-story hotel was designed by Matt Markowitz with interiors by Samantha Crasco and Axel Vervoordt. The building is clad in light brown brick. A curved glass bay characterizes the façade at the corner. At the 7th floor, the brickwork is patterned with decorative, circular metal panels between each main window bay. The masonry is patterned on the 7th floor with circular decorative panels between each window bay. The two outer bays are covered by an expanse of enormous sloping glass skylights covering the 6th and 7th floors. A recessed penthouse floor sits on top.
Hotel facilities include the Carmellini’s Italian restaurant, library, courtyard, apanese-inspired Shibui Spa, fitness center and pool are open only to guests. The hotel rounds out a city block which include Tribeca Film Center and Tribeca Grill also owned by actor Robert De Niro.
